Introduction to CAT

The Common Admission Test (CAT) is one of the most prestigious entrance exams for MBA programs in India. It is conducted annually by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) for admission to their MBA/PGDM programs.     • Number of Questions: 20–22

3. CAT Exam Pattern

Mode: Computer-based test (CBT). Duration: 2 hours (40 minutes per section). Marking Scheme: +3 for correct answers, -1 for incorrect MCQs, and no negative marking for non-MCQs.

Register online via the official CAT website. Registration fee: ₹2,400 for General category and ₹1,200 for Reserved categories. The test is conducted annually in November or December.
